Why don't I post in this more? I think school may well be eating my brain. Like a zombie. Or like Cthulhu with a crunchy, deep fried soul. Mmm, Cthulhu. But enough about Lovecraftian mythos.
Heroes is, surprisingly, a lot better than it has been in past seasons. This is pleasing. Yay! I really find myself liking Claire a lot more than I used to. I blame Jess. I still want to facepalm at Peter a lot. Noah is, as always, fantastic with a touch of awesome and a side order of badass. And Tracy is really growing on me. I don't even hate the Noah/Tracy ship I can see on the horizon. I hate to say it, but I'm eager for Hiro to kick the bucket. I'm just bored with his whole story. And the only decent thing about Matt right now is his Head Sylar...omg, I'm having flashbacks to BSG. I miss Head Six. She was awesome. But enough about that. The new characters aren't actually made of fail like in some past seasonscoughMayacough. Well, okay, Gretchen kind of is. I'm taking bets on whether Lydia or deaf!girl is the one to hook up with Peter and subsequently die a horrible death and/or simply be forgotten by the fandom. Finally, Adrian Pasdar is like...my acting God. He's just fucking brilliant. That's all there is to it. The way he's playing Sylar-as-Nathan is just awe inspiring.
Supernatural is also not sucking. Dean and Sam got their asses handed to them by Paris Hilton. This is awesome. One complaint? Needs more Castiel. Another complaint? You can't tease us by having Leshi say it's going to turn into John and then not do it! Needs more JDM, kthx. But I like the crazy of this season. I like Dean taking Cas to a den of iniquity. I like future!stoned!orgy-having!not-an-angel-a nymore!Cas and bastard!hardcore!has-a-thigh-holster-and-n o-moral-compass!Dean. They were great! Tragic, but great. Is the 'Sam's not actually the antichrist, he's the devil's vessel' thing a little bit obvious and cheap? Sure. Especially with Dean as Michael's vessel. But at least the boy's aren't giving in to that bullshit. And, hey, we do get an antichrist. I'm glad they're going there. He looks adorable. I don't want Cas to stab him. But I don't want the world to end either. I still haven't forgiven Kripke for destroying Ruby's character last season, but I may do...so long as Cas continues to survive. He's unquestionably my favourite. It helps that Misha Collins is my lord and master. His twitter is the high point of my day.
Dollhouse is lovely. I worry for it, given Fox's propensity for screwing over Joss Whedon shows. And I'd be fine if Eliza quit monologuing and pretending she could act and left that to Olivia and Amy and Dichen...and really? Amy just needs to come back. And we really need more Victor and Sierra...and for Laurence Dominic to inexplicably come back. I miss him. But I continue to love Adelle (though not her hair) and Topher. And, against all non-Battlestar-related logic,Whiny McBitchypants Ballard is growing on me. It isn't even my love of Helo sticking around. He's just sucking less. And, okay, Tahmoh is pretty.
In non-TV related news. I'm loving Batgirl and GCS (Gotham City Sirens). I've missed good female-centric comics. Steph is an adorably failsome Batgirl, and Catwoman, Ivy and Harley are fantastic. Edward isn't half-bad either. I hope he appears more.
That's enough inane rambling for now. I'm making a resolution to use this more.
